Default Peg Perego Skate

I like the versatility of the Skate but heard it's heavy. I read that a new, lighter model may be out in 2009. Does anyone have experience with this stroller?

We seriously considered it, and really liked a lot of the features, but ultimately its weight made us decide to go in another direction. It did seem quite well made though. We ended up with an I'coo Targo, which has a lot of similar features but weighs about 10 lbs less.

The Skate Elite looked promising, but we were told by 2 different stores that its release was being delayed (was originally scheduled for this spring) until later this year or early 2010--might be worth waiting if you don't need the stroller immediately, but for us, our son is due in a few weeks so we didn't feel comfortable waiting.
