Looking for opinions on Gymboree swimsuit quality. I am looking at their ladybug tankini & rashguard for DD's birthday in May. She LOVES ladybugs, finds them in the yard everyday and would be so excited to see one on a swimsuit!! I have never bought Gymbo swimsuits before though.
Last year I bought an Old Navy rashguard-kini and really loved it, for the price it wore well. For my oldest I always bought Roxy (on sale) and their stuff lasts forever. I am kinda leery about paying almost $50 for the set from Gymbo and not knowing how well their swim-gear wears.

I really like Janie and Jack swimsuit quality. They are $$$, but at end of season sales they do get marked down pretty low. They are all lined, and have the cutest designs. I'm partial to ruffles on the bottom.
Gymboree ran pretty wide to me, which was a problem once my DD (she's long and lean) was out of diapers. I don't like gaps at the bottom of suits. Gap also has good quality suits, and they mark their prices down much more aggressively. |

Ah-ha, I am so glad you mentioned Gybo being wide. My DD is tiny and very long in the torso. That might put them out of the running. I'll have to look at J&J, I pass it in the mall, but never went in!
Gap does have some cute ones, too, I usually get DD's basic shorts & t's there for summer so I'll have to check the suits out too. Thx!
