How does the quality of Land's End compare with Hanna Andersson's?
I find myself wanting to buy some Hanna clothes for my baby boy who really doesn't need anymore clothes. Not because of the colors or styles of the Hanna clothes, just because of the reputed quality. I have some LE long sleeve bodysuits and footed sleepers. Their seams are sturdy and the cotton nice quality. I'm happy with them, but just wonder how they compare to Hannas. I don't have a Hanna store near me to see their clothes in person. It was easier for me to order from LE without feeling the clothes because they periodically have free shipping deals and I only buy from their overstock section.

I've been pleased with the LE stuff we have. A lot of it is hand me downs that have held up very well. We do not have much Hanna, but I am very satisfied with LE.

For me, they are comparable but fit differently and are made of different materials. If fit or materials matter, then you favor one or the other. For example, DS1 was the perfect LE baby, toddler and now child. DS2, however, is a BFBFB with big thighs and bottom. HA fits him much better.
Also, the older LE stuff was much nicer than the newer. I think their quality has suffered since Sears bought them.

I like Hanna first then LL Bean followed by Lands End. Hanna has really never let me down in anyway. LL Bean's quality is awesome but the selection can be smaller at times. Lands End has been very good and the selection is usually quite good.

I don't have enough new LE to compare. One thing I did notice with an LLB and a Hanna playdress is that the LLB seems to curl at the bottom seam a lot more (annoyingly) than a Hanna does.
I seem to like the selection and styles a little better at Hanna, then LE, then LLB, but that's totally your pref. I get annoyed with LLB because nothing is really unisex. You weren't asking about LLB, just LE and Hanna, but I tossed them in there b/c I consider them comparable, with LE being the 3rd of the 3 mfrs.

Hmm, I hadn't even thought about LLB. This is considering I have their credit card and can get free shipping with my orders.
Thanks for all the replies!

I actually like LE better. I think it holds up better than "typical Hanna fade" and I think HA stuff is more prone to stains that you can't get out or small holes because the fabric is so soft. But, I do think the HA cotton is so much softer. But the styles are different so I have a bunch of each. More LE winter styles, more HA summer styles.

Yeah, I like LE the best, then LLB, then Hanna. I've had a few Hannas with defects in them (which they replace, but still, its a PITA) and I find that they hold stains moreso than LE or LLB.
FWIW, all of the LE, LLB and HA stuff that I had from DD#1 is being worn by DD#2 and looks brand new.

I have less experience with LLB, and am getting some stuff from them - I find that I can get better deals right now from LE or Hanna outlets. That being said, I like all three, they work great for us to hand down. The stripey LE tights have held up beautifully for us. I do think that any of these brands are a good value, esp if you buy higher quality/less amount of clothes, and intend to hand down. Just limit the pastels for stain reasons....

I agree with most of what was already said, and I also think that Ivy has an important point regarding cut and your child's size. We have lots of HA, some LE and very little LLB. I'm out of the country so free shipping isn't available to me, but the customer service of all three has been fine when there's been an issue.
I will point out, though, that you can get some amazing deals at LE Overstocks. We got DS the Arctic Squall coat and bib pants for this year for a total steal, and then got next year's pants too (coat will still fit) - for something like half the price. And the quality is very nice. I usually prefer HA for their style, but in terms of winter things you can't beat LE/LLB.
