Default for those of us home during the day-ellen or oprah?

If you watch talk shows that is. I've gotten hooked on ellen this week. I really wanted to see her get george clooney on her show even though it was a rerun.

Myself I don't care for oprah much. I don't care for her subject matter mostly and agreed with the newsweek article about her.

Who do you prefer if you watch them?

I don't watch either show that much. However, I always check Oprah first to see if the topic is interesting. 9 times out of 10, it isn't. So, I end up watching Ellen. I like Ellen too, b/c my kids can watch it with me, it's pretty clean.

They're 2 completely different things for me. Also, where I live they are on at 2 different times of the day (Ellen- am, Oprah- late afternoon). I love Ellen. That show cracks me up. I used to watch Oprah but I probably only catch about 4/ year now. Ellen, I was watching it more during the school year but haven't watched in a few months.

Ellen gets my vote.

I wish I had an opinion on this, but I haven't had daytime control of the TV since dd3 was an infant. Come to think of it, I don't have nighttime control of the TV due to dh. *sigh*

Oprah, Ellen, and Bonnie (FLOVE) are all on at different times in Chicago. In fact Oprah is on at 9am and then again at 11pm. Then later we bet Bonnie in the afternoon, followed by Ellen. I rarely watch any of these, as I work, but since I work at home, I flip around while I eat my lunch. I think Bonnie and Ellen are hysterical. And if you really want to laugh hard, then you have to watch Ellen's sumo wresling outfit races. Just hysterical. These really are different shows, Oprath and Ellen. I usually am interested in Oprah when I'm interested int he topic, while Ellen is fun pretty much anytime.

I vote Ellen all the way, but I don't usually catch either anymore...

I usually switch to Oprah to see if it is interesting. I just never got into ellen. I watched her a long time ago when she did standup. Currently I am into court shows. I watch People's Court every day.

I don't watch either. If the TV is on during the day, I'm usually catching a rerun of something like Andy Griffith or Leave it to Beaver.

These are totally my guilty pleasure! People's Court and Judge Judy. I don't know why! In fact I tivo them so I can watch during the twins' naptime (I don't watch TV when they're awake.) I don't like any of the other judges, only Judy and Marilyn Milian (sp?). I think that would be my dream job, TV judge!

I don't watch Oprah or Ellen. I don't have anything against them (well, maybe the cult of Oprah a little) I just never got into them.
