Does anyone know the weight limits of the Valco Tri-mode toddler seat? My 2.5 year old is on the heavier side (32 lbs). I've never seen one, do toddlers actually enjoy sitting in it?
Are there any other single stroller with toddler seat recommendations besides phil & Ted? |

The weight restriction is 40lbs. We have only used it a couple of times but the kids seemed to enjoy it.
ETA- I should mention that depending on the terrain, it can make the stroller tippier. For example, if you are walking across a hill, you need to be careful but for normal paved strolling, it is OK.

You also need to set the front swivel wheel to only swivel 45 degrees in either direction. That helps prevent tipping. It also makes it a bit less agile, but if you're off roading and not mall shopping it's fine.

I have the twin tri-mode with the toddler seat and my 3 1/2 year old (32 lbs.) and 2 year old (26 lbs.) fight over who gets to sit in the jump seat. My kids don't nap in the stroller so that isn't an issue. They like being up high and in front.

According to the manual, it is 20kg, so just over 44 pounds.
