Default Should I sell my Valco?

We currently have three strollers, but pretty much only use two. We use the BJCCD at home and the Mac Triumph when we travel or need one in the car. The Valco Trimode Runabout is almost always parked in our garage. It gets a litte bit of use here and there, but not a ton. Should I keep it as DS1 is already almost 3 or am I better off selling it now and getting a new AT stroller down the line once I no longer need the double?

That's a good question, however the Tri Mode is already paid for I would think about these things:
1. when you sell your current house are you moving to the burbs where it might be easy for DS1 to ride a bike next to you when you go on walks and only have to have DS2 in the stroller?
2. Is DS1 showing any signs that he might be getting tired of the double stroller? You can always attach a buggy board to the back of the trimode.
3. Is there any time that you and either DS1 or DS2 will be going on long walks and you want something other than the MAC?

If you've got the room and know you will use it in the future when you are done with doubles, then I'd probably keep it. If you think you may prefer a different stroller once you are back into the single stroller mode, then I would put it on Craigs List now -- you'd get more $ now than if you waited a couple of years down the line.

We had one, but I personally thought it was too cumbersome and heavy and we rarely used it. We decided we wanted a Maclaren Twin Techno so I put the Valco on Craigs List and sold it for less than 20% off of what I purchased it for 3 years ago (it was in excellent condition though and I had gotten a super deal when I purchased it). Used that $ to buy the Techno.

Thanks ladies. I only use it now with DS2 if we are going somewhere really close with DS1 walking but it is a bumpy ride and need the AT. Most of the time, we use the double and DS1 is still ok with using strollers (he has to ride it anyway, so I can control both of them when I am by myself). The reason why I am thinking about it is because it is in awesome condition and I have the basinnet and a hitch hiker, so I could probably sell it for a good amount now. It is a 2006 Valco. Space is not an issue right now as we have two garage spots and only one car, but if we move, we will likely get a smaller place and space may be an issue then. I don't want to hold on to it now and end up selling it later for a steep discount. Don't know......I do love it and it is perfect for Chicago winters, so maybe I should just keep it for DS2.

I'm in Chicago too (Downers Grove) and I had purchased mine in 2006 as well (might have been a 2007 model though). I had the toddler seat attachment, but none of the extra items you do. I listed mine for $375 and sold it for $350 in about four days (just last Sunday). Just to give you some idea of what our market is like in case you decide to sell it : )

Wow. That's a great re-sale! I think I will discuss with DH. I am leaning towards selling it now and getting a brand new shinny AT stroller later on for DS2.
