I just bought our son a Britax RA50 and need to store our Snugride for another child (not coming soon). I thought about putting it back in the original box and storing it in the garage. However, this is AZ and the garage can easily get up to 130 degrees F in the summer, so will that be bad for or damage the carseat. Are there any other better storage suggestions considering we don't have much storage space.

I'm sure that's fine. Carseats are often kept in a car in a garage, so they'd be seeing those temps, even not in storage, but in use.

Do you have a family member or close family friend that would let you store it in a basement or something? We stored ours in my parent's basement in a plastic bag 'till we moved into a house with our own basement....

It can actually get hotter in the car than in a cardboard box in the garage.
We get hot temps here too. 115+. There have been times when I thought it was hot in the garage, but when I opened the car door to get in, it felt hotter in there. Then there are those who have to park outside in the heat with no garage or carport. Quote:
