Our dd is 9mo old and crawling fast, soon to walk, and it is getting cold outside...I've never bought pedipeds before but like all the positive reviews (do not like robeez they leave rred ankle marks). But pediped sizing seems so wierd to me...is it really possible that my dd can wear a shoe that is sized 12-18 mo and be able to walk in them comfortably without them being soo big that her foot slips in and out and she gets blisters. The 6-12 mo seems too small. I did the stride rite thing with my 2 oldest, but I like the soft sole of the pediped and their designs are way cuter. TIA

Ds got 6-12m Pedipeds and wore them from 10m-17m. Then he has been wearing his 12-18m ones since he was 17m (now 21m). They have been great. I think that the 6-12m roughly translates to a size 4-5. He has never tripped, slipped or gotten blisters.

Yeah, I got a pair of Pedipeds for DD (almost 1 year) a few weeks ago, and the 6-12 seemed like they fit *o.k.,* but the woman in the shoe dept. at Nordstrom said to definitely get the 12-18 months. Make sure you have your kid stand up when trying them on, as their foot goes forward. These 12-18 month ones don't seem that much bigger than the 6-12, but they should last quite a bit longer (I hope!).

they seem to run large...
(as for another soft-sole shoe option: we boboux- no red marks on my ds...)

One of my newly one year old twins wears 12-18 months and the other 18-24 months. We started out with 6-12 for the smaller one and 12-18 for the bigger one and I swear they lasted for only a month or less. We love, love, love Pedipeds. I am going to keep them in them until they are walking well and weather turns cold, so probably mid-late October. So I strongly recommend getting measured and/or buying several pairs at Zappos and return what doesn't fit. One more thing - we only really keep the shoes on outdoors. Inside they just wear socks (or bare feet because the socks come right off).
