Sorry but i totally LOVE the bjcm much more than a zippy- i find the zippy much more bulky and it weighs about 6 lbs more. the zippy is a full sized stroller while the bjcm is more compact.

I really love my hotsling, i actually use it much more than my bjcm for my 5 month old, my stroller is oftentimes just a place to keep all my stuff!! but it is so easy/light to steer, it is not a problem, even with holding my 2 year old's hand etc

I think the weight difference is more like 3 pounds or so. They're totally different shapes so we'll just agree to disagree on which is more compact.

It is. I just want to make it clear that I'm not denigrating the City Mini or anything. I love that stroller. I think it's absolutely awesome. It's just that I prefer the Zippy. However, they share MANY similarities that I think make both strollers MUCH better than nearly every other stroller out there.

Since this thread is about "perfect" strollers, my vote would still go to the Zippy, but the BJCM is a very close second. An example of how close it is, one of the things that puts the Zippy on top for me is that I can lower and raise the seatback with just one hand. While it only takes one to lower, I need two hands to raise the seat back on the BJCM. Tiny details like that.

there is a separate forum board that discusses baby carriers, I found that an excellent place for advice. Ergo, Beco Butterfly, Pikkolo, etc are a much more comfortable carrier for baby and parent, although they are 100+ (you can generally find used ones on craigslist though). Hot sling and other sling type carriers are great for some people, horrible for others it seems, and more for younger babies. I preferred my moby wrap for the first few months, and the Beco Butterfly for when the baby can sit up better.
