I got a notice from one of my credit cards with some of the new changes that are rolling in as a result of the new laws. I can opt out of the changes and keep the current term "until the end of the current membership year or the expiration date, whichever comes first." The expiration date isn't for a few years. Is it safe to guess that a membership year will be this Dec. 31/ Jan.1? Or do I have to go digging for that info? Never heard that term in reference to this card before.

The only time I've heard to that is with Discover Card and their anniversary date, which is usually the date you opened the card.
