Anyone hear about big online deals Monday after Thanksgiving?

I was talking to a rep at At&t about upgrading my phone, was advised to wait until after Thanksgiving, there will be deals online.

Then she asked me if I had heard about all the deals online that are supposed to be the Monday after Thanksgiving? I hadn't, she said all the big retailers are having their B&M Black Friday sales, some online, then BIG online sales on Monday. We started talking about something else and I never got to ask her where she heard this.

Has anyone else heard anything about this? I do most of my shopping online and would love to know how reliable this info is! I hope I listed this in the right forum

"Cyber Monday" was also supposed to be the rage last year - but i didn't find anything good. If anyone hears - please keep us informed! That is also good to know about AT&T... i also plan on upgrading my phone and was wondering if the holidays were a good time? or wait until January? Thanks!

Yep. "Black Friday" and "Cyber Monday". Though my experience, at least for clothes and toys was the online "Black Friday" deals were just as good or better than Cyber Monday. I have no idea if that is true for other goods though.

ooohh! Thanks for the heads up! After my phone was stolen (ggrrrr) i really need a new phone (currently using old phone). I was tempted to buy one recently, but they are charging me a 75$ "upgrade fee" because my contract isn't up until next year, on top of the price of the phone. I will be looking forward to see what they offer.

Yeah, cyber Monday sucked last year IMO. I didn't really find any good deals.

Yeah, last year I found much better deals online on Thanksgiving and that weekend. There wasn't really anything good on cyber monday.

I would NOT wait until January. I got a new AT&T phone last year for Christmas online for a good deal. When I took it to the store to get everything set up, several people came in looking for deals on phones. There weren't any. The girls at the counter stated all the good prices come before Christmas.

Oh Liz, that totally sucked!! I would think since you're paying full price for a phone why would they tack on a $75 upgrade fee? Geeeezzzz!!!

The AT&T rep said 'between Thanksgiving and Christmas'. I am wanting the Samsung Impressions. I don't know if I have to check every day to see when that particular phone goes on special or what. I hope not! I just used my cell for calls, I don't mind upgrading to the $15 data plan, but not the $30, and I have no idea what I would do with a Smart Phone, ROFL!

I just hope my phone holds out, one DS got it and chewed on it, so sometimes it says 'connection failure'. It works ok about 60% of the time , but I'm cheap and will wait on a deal.

SammyeGail- just wanted to say that the price of the phone I wanted was discounted because I will be extending my contract by two years- otherwise, the phone was over 200$ full price!! I too, only use my phone for phone calls, so I can't see paying full price. See, I'm cheap too....
