I have a Tag reader I bought on super sale, 2 gender neutral tag books and just bought the animal cards from the Leap Frog website. I was thinking of saving them for DS (will be 2 in Jan). I also need a Christmas gift for a brother (3 yrs) and sister (5 yrs). I gave them Leapsters and one game for their birthdays earlier this fall. I've asked their parents for ideas on what to get them but haven't had a response yet. Besides DH, this is the only gift I have left to purchase. Should I save the Tag for DS or give it as a gift? TIA

If it is the old Tag that only holds 6 books, I would pass it on. If it is the new one with a larger capacity I would keep it. DD has the older one and it has been her favorite toy since she was 2.5. It is a pain switching the books out and I plan to upgrade to the new one after Xmas if there are any clearance sales.

Someone else came up with a good idea, if you bought 2 of the old Tag readers on clearance, then just load up both pens for extra memory.
