Is there a collection of crash data for cars somewhere?

DH just got a 2008 Hyundai Elantra. His car needed a new engine and this ended up being the better way to go. He loves the car and it only needs to have the filters replaced now (just got it from CarMax). He needs to have a carseat in the back so he can take at least one child on the weekends (DS likes to go with daddy on errands etc...). He wants to put the carseat outboard b/c he wants to install and leave it and often will take coworkers during the week in his car (and feels there is not enough room for an adult if he installs in the center). He will either be installing a MA or a GO. I want him to install the GO as DS is about to outgrow the MA. DH is concerned about side crashes etc... and feels the MA might offer better protection. I think the GO will be fine for the 1x a week DS rides in it. Is there anywhere that discusses crash data that I can direct DH to? I don't need to convince him of the safety of a carseat (he gets that and prefers to keep DS harnessed as long as possible).

They have summaries of the IIHS and NHTSA crash data along with tons of links. The overall scoring is somewhat debated (they assign a vehicle the average for the class if there is no data), but it gives you all the tests in one place. The two sets of tests are done differently, so a vehicle can score well on NHTSA side impact and poor on the IIHS side impact.
