Default Yes DH I deserve a bit of a mommy break.

DH, please don't give me "that look" when I comment that I need a bit of mommy downtime this weekend. I've been pretty much stuck at home with our 6 week old given the bitter cold and snow. Additionally, I've cared for both girls at least half a dozen times while you've run errands for hours or attended non-mandatory evening work events. And let me tell you, managing a nursing newborn and while trying to feed a picky toddler or give her a bath, or give her the attention she's craving, isn't easy. Of course, you wouldn't know that because you haven't watched both girls alone yet. The one and only time I left the house alone for a hair cut my mom was at the house to help. Oh, and you still owe me for the time I had to take DD2 to a girl's night out (which is supposed to be w/out our kids) so that you could go to a basketball game. Tonight, I'll be driving an hour to get DD1 from the sitters, baking cupcakes for her last day at the sitters tomorrow, and trying to get everyone fed, bathed, and in bed all so that you can go to a work dinner. So, yes, I want an hour or two to myself this weekend. Even if I have to grocery shop to make it happen. And yes, that means you'll have to put on your big boy pants and watch both girls alone.

There must be something in the air as I'm feeling that way today too! DH is a bit more cooperative as we only have 1 right now but I always need to ask VERY specifically for him to do something with DD so that I can sleep in, run my own errands, veg out at Starbucks, etc., down to telling him what time I want him to wake up.
