We've been happy with the one we got from IKEA. It's a neutral wood color, not painted or stained. We just left it unfinished but it looks fine.

We have the Kritter table and chairs from Ikea. Love them. Very sturdy. Very affordable.

I have to third the Ikea - we bought a set that was 1 table (square, pine, unfinished) and 2 chairs (also pine and unfinished) - our DS has been using them for 5 years and they're still in awesome condition - and the set only cost $40!

SO sturdy, perfect size and we know it will last. But its not SOO expensive that I even flinch when something spills or gets drawn on it. Love love love it.

I don't own this, but this is what I want (Kidcraft Pastel Nantucket Table & 4 Chairs):
http://www.csnstores.com/KidKraft-26101-KK1010.html

they also have a long table that includes a bench and 2 chairs.

On that same site above, search for "table and chair set for kids" or something like that...they have quite a variety. I've seen some 10% off and free shipping from that site. I haven't bought from them personally, but I've come close.

Can't remember if bing or ebates works with them.

We have the "Kidcraft Pastel Nantucket Table & 4 Chairs" and love it. I forget which site I did get it from, but I did hunt around for the best price for it. They are very sturdy and even my 6'6" DH sits on the chairs every once in a while. The customer services is great, as you can log onto their site and have any replacements parts shipped without any questions.
