Headboard for bed that butts up against a window?

I was never into headboards, but in our new house, the head of the bed is situated right in front of the window. So if I want to sit up and read, I have to lean against the window. I'm thinking we need a headboard. What size headboard should we get? I'm assuming something short so that it doesn't block the window, but it needs to be tall enough so that we can lean against it. Any advice/height recommendations from people who've BTDT?
