Where to put the RFing convertible?

DS2 has just about outgrown the SafeSeat we borrowed . At least he got through the winter, which is great.

I'm trying to figure the best place to put his convertible. I'm pretty sure it'll fit in the middle or passenger side.

If I do the middle, then when I have all the kids, someone has to wait outside the car while I get him in and strapped. But, he'll have 2 other kids to bother, so maybe it'll be better for both of them .

If I do outboard, the older 2 can climb in one side, so no one is waiting. But, DS2 will only bother the kid in the middle.

DS2 is at the poke, pick, pinch, and just generally annoy anyone in reach stage. Neither of the others want to sit by him. They are both requesting that we buy a minivan so DS2 can sit away from them all

I know it's a trivial question, really, but, what would you do?

I would probably put the convertible RF behind the driver's seat if it will fit, because that way you could strap him in while the other two kids climb in from the passenger side (closer to the sidewalk, so they don't have to climb in next to oncoming traffic). If it doesn't fit, then put it behind the front passenger seat and do the opposite.

I agree with goldenpig. I wouldn't want either older child waiting outside while I strapped in the youngest.

But, assuming your two older children are both still in carseats (oldest is perhaps in a booster?), so it may be more an issue of how you can get the seats to fit in your car.

I had my Snugride on the passenger side thinking I could see her (via mirror)and get to her better at red lights (binks, toy,) but when I get my convertible I am moving it behind the drivers side. Easier for me to buckle her in and then get right in the car on the same side and when I pick my older one up for school/activities she gets in on the outboard passenger side which is closest to the curb and safest.

So I agree with the others. Drivers side outboard.

I am not sure it'll fit on the driver's side. My back seat is a 60/40 split, so the driver's side is only 30%.

No curb parking, really, so I don't have to worry about kids in traffic. Just parking lots, etc.

I'll do passenger side and that way the older ones can climb in themselves and I can walk around to the other side.

Both the older ones are in harness seats as fitting a booster in is very difficult. Fortunately, he's got an inch or so left in the Radian.
