My only "requirement" is that a bag has a long adjustable strap to make it go over my shoulder or over the stroller handles.
I VB bags!

Large backpack, this has actually worked out to be a lot better diaper bag than I thought it would be. Good for younger babies when you have a lot of stuff to haul around.
Cargo sling (which is discontinued, but their site still has a few and you can find them on ebay), the only thing is that I can't quite fit as much into it as my large backpack. So, it depends on how much stuff you haul around. I consider this like a step 2 bag, when you don't have to carry as much stuff around for diaper blowouts (outfits), burp cloths, etc.. The small backpack is perfect when they are toddlers and you need your hands free to chase them around, but need to carry some dipes, wipes, bibs and sippy. Also, I just got a pleated tote and plan to use that as a diaper bag, I've heard a lot of moms LOVE the pleated tote as a diaper bag, BUT it has two straps. Don't know if that will bug you or not. I think it's really stylish looking and that is what attracted me to it. Typically I abhor any diaper bag with two straps. The microfiber version of the VB diaper bag only has one strap that can be slung over your body. Very similar to the original cargo sling style, but more stylish looking. I've seen it at the store, but I have so many diaper bags, I can't justify paying that much for a diaper bag that I am only going to use for one child.

Have you seen the actual VB diaper bag? That is what I use.

I also have their diaper bag.....looks like one of their regular bags, but it does have two straps. I will probably just use it as a regular bag once the kiddos dont need it anymore.

I had ordered one of the baby bags and just didn't like it, but then again, not actually packing it up etc. I prefer one strap though so i can sling it over my shoulder or slide it over the stroller handles.
I was just looking at the LeSportSac messengers too, super lightweight (ala VB), washable, etc. I have plenty of smallish bags, toiletry bags etc that i'd be using anyway within whichever bag I get. I'll go back to the Vera store and look around and see what Bloomies has in the way of LeSportSac too since they are in the same mall! |

Take a look at the reversible tote, the messenger, and the saddle up. They all have a single strap and very a bit in size so you can see what might work well for you. I love VB bags and have not been able to fall in love with LeSportSac. I think the black lining just kills it, because I adore some of their prints! Have fun shopping though!!!

Just got an email from VB that all sale items are an extra 20% off on their website, through Wed.
It must be added at checkout because there was no code in the email.I have a Cargo Sling (love all the pockets and it is comfortable to wear cross-body) and have used the Villager in the past (for the toddler stage). I also have the Weekender, which works great for traveling - holds all the extra dipes, wipes, clothes, shoes, etc. I've been wanting to try the smaller backpack too. |
