Default Any Amazon Prime deals?

Just hoping for some secret way to get a discount on Prime. I can't justify $79 but I sure loved the trial I had back at Christmas time.

Ack! Mine just apparently ran out today. I just saw the $79 charge in my online bank statement and was able to cancel even though I just placed an order this mornining. I am looking for a deal too! I miss it already.

Just found this link, looks like it only gave me a one month free trial, but it's better than nothing.

That link is great, but it won't work if you have ever done a trial of Prime before.

Just do it, man. I used my Prime 4 times yesterday:

1. Early AM: Couldn't find DD's polyvisol, so ordered the 2-pack to be delivered to my door. That's usually the type of item I forget to pick up at the grocery store until I'm outside filling up my trunk.
2. Lunchtime: Saw on Slickdeals that they're offering a case Pampers Clean-n-Go Wipes (360 wipes) for $11. Ordered, no shipping cost, no worries about putting fillers in my cart to get supersaver.
3. Afternoon: Remembered it's my mom's birthday Friday, she lives far away so I won't get to see her. Sent her Dr Suess "Happy Birthday to You!" which I think will make her smile.
4. Dinner: DH complained the cutting board was getting scratched up. Got a new one. That's usually the kind of thing where I got to Bed Bath & Beyond and spend 30 minutes deciding which one is best, OR spent 5 minutes on Amazon and pick a cheap-but-reasonable $10 model.

I'm tempted. I just need to convince DH how much I'll SAVE by not having to go to Target to pick up this or that and whatever ends up in my basket while there.

I believe that you can have up to 5 "family" members on your prime account. So if you have a family member who has prime (or you want to split it with a few family members)... (friends are like family, right?)

My prime is about to run out and I probably won't pay for a renewal BUT I was just looking on slickdeals and someone broke the cost down and it's only 6.xx a month. When I thought if it that way, it didn't seem all that pricey anymore.

I have it an love it. You get over the inital price shock after you order a they all get delivered in 2 days. Christmas time was when I was extremely happy I had the Prime.

Yes, $79 is ALOT of $$ to be spending on a "service", BUT you are probalby right that you will go to target less and therefore, you will spend less on all the other "stuff" you get when you go to target.

also, i have lots of nieces/nephews/family that lives far away. it comes in handy for mailing presents beuase i just mail them a gift from amazon. (or banana/gap since i get free shipping with luxe, but that's beside the point.) and the free 2-day ship is great becuase i'm usualy late to the game when it comes to gifts!!
