Still looking for ATS and have increased budget to $400 (under $300 would be preferable). The more I research, the more undecided I become ...
Here's what I have in mind: 1. Primary use frequent walking on hilly sidewalks (no jogging) 2. Occasional walking gravel/dirt paths and grass 3. Occasional vehicle transport (SUV so space not an issue and no problem lifting our 22 lb. stroller) 4. Unlikely to be used very often as indoor/mall stroller (have Chicco Cortina) 5. Large canopy 6. Removable, washable fabric 7. Easy open/fold 8. Reversible (not sure how important this is??) 9. Optional jump seat/rider board/etc. for future (not a necessity) 10. Adapter for use with Chicco Keyfit30 (not a necessity) 11. Prefer new Recommendations? Thanks! ------------------------- UPDATE: Leaning towards Baby Jogger City Elite vs. Summit XC (but still open to other suggestions) ... Which of the following would you recommend? Any better deals out there? 2009 BJCE Black $270 albeebaby.com 2010 BJCE Red $340 livingincomfort.com (15% off [ends MN 4/18]: WOW) -forever tires better/worse? -2010 can accommodate toddler wheeled board due to hand-brake, 2009 cannot--correct? -basket larger/attached differently? 2010 BJS XC Red/Black $360 healthchecksystems.com (10%off: BUROFF) -better for very rough gravel/dirt paths?

If you're not going to be running, you probably will not need the summit. The BJCE should fit the bill. I've heard the basket on the 2010 is a nice upgrade, but I don't know if people prefer the air or foam tires....
FYI - diapers.com will pricematch the 2010 price (I believe they no longer carry the 2009). You can go through bing for an extra 10% back, which would bring you down another $34. (If you're a first time customer, you could also get 10% off and $10 off if you buy dipes and use a referral code and get the parenting magazine rebate...) HTH! ETA - I don't think the chicco adapter is out yet.... IMHO, I wouldn't worry too much about reversible - we tend to like to look at our LO's but once they get to about 8 months, they'd prefer to look at the world than at us! I'd go for the 2009 BJCE. I don't like the forever tires. The Summit is great but I would only get it if you are planning on running with it as it is slightly wider.

1) Does this jump seat work with the 2010 BJCE (or only the 2009)?
I couldn't find an extra seat listed on the accesories page of the BJ website for the BJCE but there is an extra seat for the City Select. 2) Anyone else who has a preference one way or the other for the 2009 air tires vs. the 2010 forever foam tires?

Looks like BJ may be excluded from the 10% off 1st purchase?? On Bing website could only find black 2010 BJCE with 10% cashback at diapers.com. Livingincomfort.com only has red for $340 (for price match at diapers.com). Does this mean the red is definitely not eligible for Bing cashback through diapers.com, or is there a way to confirm?

Found the answer for anyone who's interested ... yes, the 2010 BJCE (single only) is compatible with a jump seat.

I don't believe the color should matter with bing - sometimes they just don't have all the products listed, but the store is listed with gear at 10% back. I would take a screenshot of the black stroller and the store listing where it lists 3-10% just in case. |
