We are taking our first overnight trip away from home with DS. He has stayed with IL's overnight before, but we'll be packing up and going to Chicago for 2 nights. It's about a 3-4 hour drive for us. We are leaving on Thursday evening and coming back on Saturday. Anything I am missing on my packing list for him? We have so much "stuff" that just stays at IL's that I don't have to pack much to take over there.
- stroller, Ergo - food, puffs, milk - bottles, bowl for food, spoons - dishsoap for washing pump parts & bottles - clothes - pjs, lovie - sunscreen - meds (Claritin, Tylenol, Mylicon) - toys - diapers, overnight diapers, wipes Marriott says that they'll have a PnP for us, so I'm not bringing that. |

I'd bring a PnP sheet. I usually just use what is provided but you might not mind having a back up. Any safety things like outlet covers? Babies can take Claritin? I didn't think there were any safe cold medicines for under 6yo anymore. What do your ILs have in the way of a high chair? Do they have something like a Pack n Play both for sleep and daytime corralling?

DS has some pretty bad seasonal allergies so our pedi said we could give him 1/2 teaspoon of Claritin or Zyrtec once a day. It's made a huge difference for him.
IL's have a full-size high chair and my parents have a SpaceSaver; DS has done well with regular ones at restaurants so I'm not too worried about that. I told DH I needed to bring a PnP sheet but I'm sure I would have forgotten it - adding it to the list now.
