freaking the heck out! My droid fell in the ocean. for 2 seconds but how/what can I do to fix it?!?! Darn it, we have no insurance on it!
OMGOMGOMG DH is going to FREAK out once he hears!!!!!!!!!!

Do not try to turn it on. Take the battery out and put the phone in a bowl of rice. Leave it there for a day (I left it for two just in case). Put the battery back in it will hopefully turn on. I learned that from these boards and it worked on my phone and another friend's phone too. I hope it helps.

Do not try to turn it on!!!
Take out battery and put both into a ziploc with dry rice in it. Zip it up tight. Rice will soak up the moisture. But I don't know how ocean water will come into play here!!! GL!! |

I've Heard to take out the battery and put the phone and the battery in a bowl of rice for 24 hours. Sorry!

yeah ran to the closest verizon and they said the rice trick.
it was still on, is that a good sign? omgomgomg. what a great day turned bad!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm so upset |

Keep it off so the heat and water don't fry it.
I used to rice trick on my env touch, worked 100%. We actually kept the rice in a bag labeled cell phone, after JIC ot was needed again.
