After spending more time than I'd like to admit researching the "perfect" waterbottles, I ordered the Safe Sporter Waterbottle
http://www.kid-basix.com/thesafesporter.php for DS and DD#1. They got great reviews online.
After using it for just over a week, the plastic coaster on the bottom of DS's cracked and fell off. I was very annoyed as these were not cheap and were replacing my Funtainers that had a similar issue. I emailed the company and requested a replacement. I got a quick reply back that they stand by their products and were sorry I had a bad experience and were going to send me a replacement. Great. I was satisfied. The new waterbottle is currently in-transit here.
Over the weekend I was looking at DS's waterbottle and noticed that the pull-spout has a crack in it and other parts of the spout are a bit out of shape. DD's doesn't have a crack but also, I can see that the spout is starting to lose it's shape a bit also. It is made out of a plastic that is sort of soft and I can see why this is happening. However, these are designed to be used by kids so I would figure that they would make them durable enough to withstand the kids drinking from them. Neither of my kids has been sucking on the waterbottle other than to drink from it.
Would you complain again now or should I wait and see if DD's cracks or loses the shape enough that it's a problem and/or DS's new one cracks?
