Where can I find a cute, but affordable winter coat for a 4 yo little girl - I am preferably looking for a pea coat style (but doesn't have to be)?
What does or will your DD have as a winter coat this year????? |

I think LL Bean has those.
I get my kids mostly LLB outerwear. They always each have a lightweight rain coat, a heavier rain coat, a fleece-lined raincoat (that is their primary winter coat) and a ski outfit (coat & bibs). ETA: I can't find the heavier raincoats at LE anymore, but they are heavier than the LLB ones and lined with jersey. The LLB ones that I like are very lightweight nylon lined with mesh. I don't buy my kids "dress" winter coats because they are impractical in our rainy, mild climate. Here is a LE peacoat I can't find the LLB one I was thinking of, but I'm pretty sure they had them last winter. They also had quilted riding jackets that were cute.

LE had some cute "Peacoats" that are in that style, but made of fleece- might be just what you are looking for!

I live in a mild climate, but my girls have GAP kids coats that the grandparents bought them last year. They are nice and the insides zip out and can be worn as a separate jacket. (not pea coats though). I actually had ones from target in my cart when my dad called to ask for sizes for the gap ones. The target ones were cute and inexpensive and seemed fine for my mild winters.

For a good price and a great selection I always recommend eBay.
I agree with your choice of a pea coat. My dd got a pea coat from her cousin 3yrs ago and it was so perfect, in that it went with everything (sporty and dressy) and always looked really good, that I got her another one last fall. |

I saw the LE fleece peacoats also. I think the replaced the fleece hoodies for girls, which is kinda weird.

I think I saw some LE fleece peacoats in overstocks....
Yep, Little Girls size S(4) and M(5/6) only...a great deal for $19.99, esp if you need other stuff and can get up to the $75 mark for the $15 off and FS deal. http://www.landsend.com/pp/ThermaChe...&origin=search |

I realize now that I "bought ahead" 2 coats for each DD, plus I think their Gap parkas from last year may fit. We have this in a gorgeous deep purple:
But it's no longer available, I got them for $14.99 in overstocks months ago. Also, we have these, which were probably overkill and may go back. But they're nice and light but seem like they'll be warm: http://www.landsend.com/pp/SquallJac...7&origin=index For rainy spring weather next year I got these: http://www.landsend.com/pp/SolidRain...7&origin=index Maybe this is the lined rain jacket PP was talking about? It's a nice jacket, and well worth $9.99!!! But it looks like it's only available in 2T
