Default ISO deal on white christening gown

chickadee's post on flower girl dresses reminded me I need to find a christening gown!

Has anyone seen the Gymbo one IRL? I'll have some gymbucks to spend soon, but they don't have a bonnet (I'm a sucker for bonnets)...

My only requirement is that it's white rather than off white/ivory since I already have some cute little shoes from pediped...

Thanks in advance!

I actually had my son's made from this seller on ebay:

She did a great job. I was originally looking at the Gymbo one, but ultimately had it made.

Default bonnet idea

I'm a bonnet person too, if you are set on a bonnet... here is a thought, esp if you are irish...

Irish bonnet keepsake hanky...

Use it as a bonnet now and save it as the something old for when she gets married. So even though our dress came with a beautiful bonnet, we used these too. I think I tucked them into the onesie at one point, because I have pictures of the girls with both. I liked the idea of the something old down the line.

no idea why bbb was the first google hit for these, but...

That Irish bonnet is cute! I love the idea of it turning into a hanky.

If you are crafty I know there are a couple of places I found online when my Mom made my kids as she used hankies that were my Great Grandmothers or Grandmothers and 1 possible even older than that. We were able to add a few beads also.

One

Two

Three ~ Not a pattern. This looks closest to my youngest's one without the flowers in the back. We just played around after looking at various pix and were able to make it with just a couple of hand stitches.
