I am registered for the Graco Snugrider 35 car seat. So I took the book's advice and also registered for the Gracon Snugrider frame. But I'm curious, what stroller should I register for after baby can hold his head up on his own? I want something a little fancier than the $20 umbrella stroller, but still under 15lbs.
I was considering the Baby R Us TrendSport Stroller, but it only goes up to 40lbs. I'd like to get one that goes to at least 50lbs. what are you suggestions? Thanks for your time! |

What features are you looking for? What are you going to be using it for?
A good option is the Indigo instead of the snap n' go/snug rider. It's about $120 on amazon, but it functions as a snap'n go but is also a full featured stroller with reversible feature.... (So you could save money on the snap n go and have an actual stroller) http://www.amazon.com/First-Years-In...3537606&sr=8-1 |

I really like your suggestion, but it's 22 pounds. I want to stay under 15lbs. That's my most important feature I'm looking for.
After that I want t a stroller that works up to 50lbs. And I'd like it to have a reclining feature with a canopy. |

What kind of terrain will you be using the stroller on? Do you want it to work for outdoors or do you plan on using it pretty exclusively indoors? Also, do you have a budget? Letting us know these things will help better with narrowing down recommendations.

Sorry if I'm not providing the right info. This is my first baby so I don't know what all I should be saying. I was really just hoping for lightweight (15lbs and under) suggestions that you all like.
I'm pretty happy with my car seat and frame combo. The frame only weighs 11lbs. I'm not one who can lift 20lb items easily. I wanted the stroller to be super lightweight otherwise I won't use it. I guess I'd mostly be using the stroller indoors but I could see using it at an outdoor festival too. Honestly, I don't see using the stroller a whole lot. I registered for this one http://www.toysrus.com/product/index...duct_skn=55503. It seemed to function well in the store. It was lightweight. Liked the cupholders. And the price seemed a steal. But the BRU reviews all seem to rate it poorly. Budget, well it's a registry item...so i don't have to have one. But I'd prefer no one spend more than $130 on it. I hope these details are helpful to you all. I really appreciate your suggestions. |

The Indigo is not 22 pounds when it is in snap n go mode. It is 22 pounds with the seat on. The seat has full recline. It is not recommended that babies always stay in the car seats. A stroller with full recline is best for newborns.

I haven't weighed the frame of the indigo but it's probably around 15lbs or so, and it's not too bad of a fold. Maybe someone can weigh themselves and then weigh themselves holding the frame
and figure out the difference.

I would scratch the snap & go and look at the First Years Indigo, Graco Mosaic or Peg Perego Si -- all of them take a car seat like a snap & go, yet allow you a stroller option when baby is awake so that you aren't overusing the car seat (I have the Mosaic and used it with the SR35 for almost 2 years - we're still using the stroller occasionally, but my almost 3 year old doesn't need it very often).
Also, keep in mind that a 40 pound weight limit will get most parents to age 4 or so (i.e. pre-Kindergaarten)... if you are using a stroller for a 4 year old (rare usage) will most likely be something like the Volo, which is super lightweight and offers few features, very compact and no recline as a large portion of your outings it will be unoccupied... this is different than the reclining, padded, bumper bar features that would be handy at 3 months.

I don't think the Peg Perego Si has enough of a recline for a newborn, but by 3 months I would imagine it would work. A few more options in the category of lightweight strollers that take carseats that are think are cool are the Techno XLR (although it's a bit more than 15 lbs), Bumbleride Flite, Peg Perego Vela (definitely an indoor-only kind of stroller though) and...hmm, I had another one in mind, but just blanked on it. Oh, Baby Jogger City Mini, although for that one you have to buy the carseat adaptor seperately.Remember that sometimes the listed weights of strollers are wrong. You can check Strollerqueen's blog for accurate weights of the strollers she reviews (strollerqueen.blogspot.com).
