Default I need a planner

I feel like my life is so disorganized. I'm looking for a new planner/calendar. Basically, I need something as small and lightweight as this so ti can fit in my purse, but with more functionality, such as add-on modules for jotting down notes or grocery lists, keeping a few business cards, etc. As for the calendar, I only need monthly pages, not weekly or daily. Any suggestions?

I really like the Day Timer stuff. I have a binder type. Here is the page where you can choose your size and then you cab browse the website and choose the planner pages, note pages, card holders, etc that you want. http://day-planner.daytimer.com/Cove...C5ACD681/False I have the breast cancer stuff and its cute.

I can't function without my Franklin Covey. They come in so many customizable options and covers that there's bound to be something that fits you exactly. They are kind of pricey, but with stackle codes abound, you can get a pretty great deal on a quality product.

My tools are all online, accessed through PDA. But if I was going to do it on paper, I'd get a Hipster PDA and the GTD (Getting Things Done) system. Here's two good sites that outlines the method: http://www.43folders.com/2004/09/03/...he-hipster-pda
and http://zenhabits.net/5-simple-effective-gtd-tools/

Have you considered TWO little books? I have one which is a generic planner (a week on a spread etc), small, fits in my purse. and another is just a notebook that I use for grocery lists, to-do lists, presents lists, ideas lists even...
I like the one where i can easily tear out pages, but others will stay in nice and tight. Once I'm done with a list, I take it out, but some lists stay in there for a long time (like ideas for presents etc).

This has been my planner for the year at work, and I have a planner similar to this one (it's the Staples brand) which has been my personal planner. It works out pretty well. I really just need something for dates.

I could have written your post!!! I ended up going with a small pocket calendar that only has monthly pages. It's small enough that it can fit in my Coach Swingpack. For to-dos and other notes, I use post-its that I stick inside the calendar on the opposite side of the page that's in use. I've used this method for about a month and it works great. I feel a bit wasteful with all the post-its, but it's the only method that's kept me organized!

I use this Blue Sky Planner. I got it at Target last year. I used to use the DayTimer ones, but I ended up liking the Blue Sky ones better. I use the 5x8, so it's very easy to carry with me. Plus, I like that it's spiral bound, so it lays flat.

ITA with Lauren, I think a Franklin Covey might work well for you -- there are lots of options and add-ons. A basic Daytimer/Dayrunner (Staples sells them) might also work, though the FC stuff is nicer.
