This is so adorable!! The age recommendation is three & up. DD's first birthday is a few weeks before Christmas...is it nuts to get it for her for Christmas this year? Or would it make sense to wait until age 2? Wondering if we'd regret missing out on a half-year of playing with it if she would use it when she's 1 1/2.

we got it for my DD for xmas when she was 17 months old (july bday) and she definately played with it. I think 12 months is young, but i agree that if you wait until 24 months, you'll definately miss some playtime, but that's up to you.

I got DD a similiar one for her 2nd birthday in May, but she's only started playing with it a lot the past 2 months. I would wait til she's closer to 2.

Default Tea Party Play Kitchen and Fridge $69.99

posted here yesterday; another option in case you missed it

Tea Party Play Kitchen and Fridge $69.99

This seems like a really good price, so I thought I would mention it to those looking for a play kitchen.

Reg. $169.99. $100 savings. $69.99 plus tax, shipped.

Does anyone that has this kitchen know if different play foods fit in the oven? For example, the M&D cookie set with baking sheet, or the Ikea baking sheets - will they fit in the oven with the door closed? (I was looking at another kitchen online and one of the reviews said this type of stuff didn't fit in the oven - I hadn't even thought of this as a possible issue!)

Thanks all! Think I'll wait until next summer when she's 18 months before we purchase. Hoping there are good deals then...we just don't have the space to store at the moment.

We have it, my parents gave it to DD last Christmas when she was 20 months old. It gets played with daily.

I don't have those set but the oven is about 12 1/2 inches wide and 11 inches front to back.

If you have a Kohl's card, you can get it a little cheaper. It's on-sale for $162 but ends up being $113.40 plus $10 shipping with the 30% off code SAVING30. They are also giving $10 Kohls cash for each $50 spent.
