I don't have a built in IPod car dock, so looking for one that I can buy and use in my Oddy. (can't stand listening to comercials on the radio or carrying and changing a bunch of CD's anymore). Anyone have any suggestions? Are they all basically the same quailty or are there differences?

I have one that plugs into my cigarette lighter and holds my iPod. It also works as an FM tuner so I can listen to my iPod though my speakers. I got it on ebay for less than $20.

Personally, I can't stand the iPod FM transmitters. IME, they have horrible audio quality and they're unreliable. I bought an after-market stereo that has an iPod hookup so I can actually control my iPod through my stereo. It's pretty awesome.
Does your Oddy have an auxiliary audio input anywhere? Either a headphone jack or a USB input? If so, you should be able to get a male-to-male 3.5mm headphone cable or a USB cable and play your iPod through your existing stereo.

Hmmm, I didn't know the sounds was crummy on the FM transmitter ones. I think I do have an Aux input (it's a 2007). That would be great if I could play it through a USB cable.
