Question Baby name thoughts

DH and I like the name Marcus Austin (last name is one syllable) for DS 2 who is due early next year.

We are Chinese, but are also very Americanized. We live in the the DC metro area.

My question is: does "Marcus" possibly sound odd for a Chinese baby/ kid's name?

TIA!

My nephew's name is Marcus. That's DH's side of the family, so he's 100% Chinese. So, to me, it sounds perfectly wonderful

Not at all!
I know a Marcus who is half Chinese actually. He does go by Marc mostly now though, but I don't think it's because of anything to do with him being part Chinese or not.

Marcus is an awesome name. Go for it. If it make s you happy that's a good enough reason to use it.

It certainly does not scream "chinese" to me, but I think it is a wonderful name. So, if you and DH like it, I say welcome to the world Marcus Austin!

I don't think it matters, like sewarsh said. Can be a good thing because in America, everyone can properly pronounce Marcus. Not always the case if you pick a real Chinesey name.
