Default The walking dead on AMC S/O the TV thread

Anyone else catch the premiere? I DVR'ed it out of curiosity even though we seen't horror fans and I was blown away. It wasn't at all what I expected, but I am counting down the hours until Sunday night. I loved how they showed compassion for the 'dead' and how the horror, to me, was the loss not scary stuff around every corner. After one episode I am hooked!

It's on Hulu. I'll go check it out.

DH wanted to watch it, so I saw last week's episode. It was really good, but too intense for me - the emotion, not necessarily the horror stuff. I had trouble sleeping b/c disturbing scenes kept replaying in my head (like the one Dad trying to shoot his walker wife with the picture taped to the window while his son cried downstairs).

We watched the first episode on Hulu before the 2nd aired last night. I think it is a great substitute for True Blood in the off-season. I'm glad I don't have to see the half-bodied female crawling through the park anymore though. She wasn't so nice too look at.

The main actor is British. I usually have "Britdar" and didn't catch it. He pulled off his Southern accent brilliantly.

Thanks for this thread and the heads up. We are definitely DVRing the season.

Can you tell the non-Americans in True Blood? I think their accents are amazing. Particularly Sookie's brother.

He is Australian right? I remember being surprised about that.
Who else? Bill definitely Brit

ETA: "Jason" just got cast as Charles Manson in the upcoming Biopic. That should be interesting.

DH watches it and loves it (he was a big fan of the graphic novels on which the show is based). I can't watch it, zombies just scare the pants off of me.
