I've never really had a problem with M and tights, but this is also her first year in preschool! She seems to rip her tights every.time she wears them to school. I've mostly bought from Target and Kohl's. I'm willing to spend some more money if they will hold up to her climbing! I'd do leggings with socks, but she won't go for that.
Any recs for good, durable tights?

Hanna classic loose tights ROCK. I have 2 pairs for myself and love them, even though I detest tights as a rule! And my DD loves hers. I've never paid more than $10 a pair - the Thanksgiving sale should be a good time to stock up:
http://www.hannaandersson.com/style....simg=55001_74D mini Boden's ribbed tights are a close second - we've been VERY happy with ours. Personally, I think they seem softer and at least as, if not more, durable than the Hannas, but DD always reaches for the Hannas first. They're cheaper, since they work out to $9 per tights shipped if you use code H644 for 25% off and free shipping: http://www.bodenusa.com/en-US/Girls-...ed-Tights.html

I have some HA which are holding up well and two pair of tights from Stride Rite and TCP. Those three brands have so far been the most durable.

For DD, the cotton ones hold up far better than microfiber or nylon-based tights. We get them at Gap, Old Navy, Target, you name it. We have some cute patterned ones and some cabled solid colors. Honestly, I've been happiest this year with the ones I bought at Old Navy.

Definitely Hanna Andersson cotton. I think I have paid $12 or $14 for ours new (DD now has four pairs) from the store, and got another pair for pretty free with an outfit from Ebay. DD1 wore her ivory tights to my Grandpa's funeral and well decided she was going to run down the hills at the cemetary and well got some light grass stains on them and with a little soaking Oxy Clean they came out looking new.

In my earlier post I should have specified--only cotton tights. I don't let DD wear microfiber tights. She tends to get snags/pulls in them within 30 minutes of putting them on. She has yet to rip a hole in a pair, but they look nasty after 1 wear and I feel like I've wasted $$.

Looks like I need to get some HA tights! Thanks!
I did put a pair on her today that have held up better than the others. They were covered in mulch last week, but didn't rip. I think they are from Gymboree.

kidsfashionbrokers.com. Their MP tights (all cotton, Danish) wear like iron. No other brand has worked remotely as well for my dd.
