Default Coffee drinkers: Should I keep my Keurig?

I am the only coffee drinker in the house. I make myself 2 cups every morning using a regular 12 cup coffee maker. I wanted a smaller, personal coffee maker for Christmas... well, I got two.

I got a Black N Decker Personal Brew & Go coffee maker, which gets pretty good reviews, and then my husband surprised me with a Keurig Elite. I need to return one. He won't be offended if I return his.

If you have a Keurig, do you like it? Is it worth the cost? Those K cups seem a little costly, but they do seem convienent. I want something big enough to hold a big coffee mug.

He also got me one of those tiny reusable filters for the Keurig where I can apparently use my own coffee. But if I use my own coffee using this tiny filter, doesn't that kind of defeat the purpose of owning a Keurig?

Thoughts?

We are big coffee drinkers and we got a Keurig yesterday. So far I love it. I will have to watch our coffee cost for a month to see if we are going to have to use the refillable K-cup or if we can keep on with the pre packaged ones. I have to get some hot chocolate! Dd2 woke up last night and asked for some tea and it was pretty darn easy to press the brew button for some nice instant hot water (I don't think I'll buy tea K-cups). I used it this morning with my XO travel mug (just pull the elevated base away) and it was great. I like my coffee strong and I have no complaints. I say keep it!

We have a Keurig for over a year and it is fantastic! I would definitely keep it no question. It consistently gives great coffee!

I would definitely keep the Keurig, even if you are the only coffee drinker in your home. FWIW, it also brews teas and hot chocolate, and boils water, so other members of your family might be able to use it even if they don't drink coffee. Also, it's great for entertaining or when you have guests. We love ours!

This is what makes the Keurig perfect for you!! You can make 1-2 cups of ANY coffee or tea you want. I got my inlaws the Keurig for Christmas and they were totally excited - and they really aren't coffee drinkers. They drink more tea.

Hmm.. okay.. you guys are swaying me to keep it!

One quick question. I was just reading some reviews on Amazon on the Elite version. It offers two cup sizes. Does anyone find that if you use the larger cup size the coffee is a little watered down? I read a couple reviews that mentioned this. I always like to brew a bigger mug of coffee.

We don't even drink coffee and we have a Keurig Platinum.

It is great for hot chocolate!

But it's even better when we have dinner guests or overnight guests
and everyone can choose their own coffee/tea/hot chocolate drink.

We love it!!
