I can't read music, but I love to sing. In fact, I have often wished I could take piano lessons.
DD also loves to sing, and I would like for her to learn to play the piano later -- if she wants. ![]() I have even thought about us taking lessons together. I expressed this to DH, and he said that he might take them with me too. (Super neat since we have very few shared interests. )Anyway, we have some friends that are going to sell us their standard spinet piano that is in great shape for a really good price. Since no one at our house, etc. has any musical background, I was wondering if anyone could tell me the pros/cons to this piano. We are excited and think it will be a great 'starter' piano at least.... Babywhite |

It's a great starter piano. Heck, it's fine even if you stick with it forever. I played on a spinnet until I went off to college and minored in piano. Didn't really hear or feel the difference until after a semester of practicing on grands. Then it was like, "Whoa mama!"
