I'm so sorry for your loss. Animals are so special to our lives. We have a 9 yr old black lab & had a bit of a health scare with her today so your post definitely hits home for me. The other night my DS was saying how he didn't want to have a pet when he grows up because they die. I said animals give us so much when they are alive and there are so many special moments that they bring into our lives. It's definitely sad when they leave us though.

I am so so sorry for your kitty loss . I have two cats myself and they are my little furry babies, like little fixtures in the house..they are always around somewhere. Our animals are our kids!

I totally relate to your pain, we lost one of our Shepherds in the summer and devastated just doesn't cover it.

I always say that we will never forget our furr-babies, but as we go on, the pain will slowly ease up.

Thank you all... DD just asked for kitty to come play. She doesn't understand that she's gone, but it made me sad. I'll treasure all the wonderful memories and after a while, probably a long while we'll go visit our shelter and see who needs us.

I am so sorry. I don't want to sound crass but someday you will hear purring in your house again...lots of animals out there to adopt and love!
