Default When you get a new bathing suit...

How do you wash it? Do you put it in the washer? What setting? Dryer? Handwash? I don't want it to shrink but definitely want to wash it. Thanks!

Run through the washer, cold water, delicates/hand-wash cycle, hang to dry, assuming I have other stuff that can be washed the same way - workout gear, other suits, etc.

If not, I hand wash, roll in a towel to get extra water out (never wring) and hang to dry.

Don't forget to take the hygiene liner out of the bottoms!

I was it in the washing machine on the delicate cycle and then hang it to dry. This is how I wash a new bathing suit and how I wash a bathing suit as I own it.

I just handwash while I'm in the shower and hang to dry.

With laundry detergent or just body wash? Do you do this with a new suit or just in between wearings?

After I posted, I realized you were talking about a brand new suit. Honestly, I don't know if I've ever washed it before wearing... sounds gross as I'm typing that though :P I would wash the bottoms (and take the sticker off). In between wearings, I just use water unless it has a really heavy chlorine smell.

I put it in a lingerie bag and wash it alone/with other suits on either warm/cold or cold/cold with a tiny bit of detergent and then hang to dry. I do the same thing for used suits but often add an extra rinse to make sure the soap/chlorine mix is rinsed out. The lingerie bag protects the suit and helps keep me from accidentally tossing it into the dryer with other laundry.
