I need to transfer money into someone's acct. I have the routing number and account number.
I thought I could do it through my bank's website, so I go to transfer to another instititutions acct and put in routing number and acct...then I get a message saying: "In order to complete this setup, we will make a small deposit and withdrawal to your account at your other financial institution. When you have verified that the transaction has taken place, enter the amount of that transaction by clicking on the Manage Accounts tab and clicking the Verify link next to the account name. The transaction will take up to 2 to 3 days to appear on your account. Once the transactions have been processed you will have 45 days to verify the amount." But it's not my account, so I can't go in to view it. Crappola....do I have to go to the bank to transfer the money to this person?? Send them a check? They need the money this Sat. Thanks. |

PayPal? That's what we do.

If Paypal isn't an option, you can send a wire transfer, but you need to go into your bank and there is a fee. Also, even if your bank sends the money today, the receiving bank can hold the funds for a few days before they release them into the other person's account.
If they really need the money by tomorrow, Western Union might be another option. |
