Default Do you wax in the summer?

I started waxing about 2 months ago and LOVE it, but now it's pool time and I just can't bring myself to go to the pool w/ my leg hair long It has grown in a lot sparser (I've gone twice so far), but yet is still noticeable on my lower legs.

Do people just shave in the summer or what? I really need to wait another week or so before I go get waxed again, but have parties and pools to go to this weekend and pants aren't an option!!

This is exactly why I don't get waxed regularly. I'm interested to hear responses!

Only the bikini area. I could never make it until my leg hair was waxable, I'd be in pants most of the summer and then broke from waxing so much! Shaving is pretty quick IMO, and I should really do it every other day, although I can stretch it to every 3rd.

ETA: I also do my brows but that's year-round!

I usually try to do it if we'll be away for an extended period, but it never seems to work well with me. At all.

I've been waxed by hair techs, nail techs and aestheticians.

I strongly suspect that my long flabby legs coupled with my coarse hair makes it next to impossible to achieve a great waxing. So ... I guess I'll stick to shaving.

Besides my brows which I get done every 4 to 6 weeks I have only ever had my bikini line done in a basic wax. If I didn't get razor burn bumps from waxing then yes I would do it in the summer on a semi regular basis I guess, about every 6 weeks. But why pay for waxing if I am still going to get razor bumps from it? The few times I did get waxed I could go about 6 weeks in between sessions. During the rest of the year I could probably get away with going every 8 weeks. I'd eventually really like to get lazer treatments.

I too have not waxed my lower legs...so growing out the hair has never been a problem. I've always shaved my lower legs.

Yes, I do in the summer and will shave if it starts showing before I go for waxing again. Once I wax I can go for about couple of months but if I shave I have to every 3-4 days.

i've been getting brazillians for about a year now and just asked my gal about this today. she said that if you're going on a vacation it's nice because you don't have to worry about shaving while you're away and it stays super smooth. she said she generally doesn't wax her legs regularly because she'd just end up shaving. but for a vacay it's totally worth it!

Okay, well I'll be the lone one that gets waxed during the summer AND goes around at times with hairy legs (um and pits....eeeewwww!). I've gotten to where I truly don't care. No, I won't go to work like that but Target, the flea market, or casual dinner....sure! In the summer I do keep it knocked down with an epilator like this one
http://www.amazon.com/Braun-Silk-Epi...8360444&sr=8-8
Also helps to stretch out the waxing sessions.

I can't stand shaving!!! I used to have to shave once a day....PITA!!! Nope, refuse to do that ever again!

I shave my legs and armpits, and Magic Shave my bikini area (no ingrowns and smoother longer than shaving).

I used to wax, but stopped for two reasons: #1 cost, #2 the amount of regrowth you need before waxing. I'm not a fan of anything peaking out of the sides of my bathing suit while I'm waiting for it to be long enough to wax again.
