Default For those who bake their own bread

How do you store it?

Depending on the time of year and how quickly it's eaten, either just on the counter (cutting board) with cut side down or in plastic food storage bags, with the twist tie closure. Sometimes I'll use ziploc type bags.

The sourdough and artisan breads tend to just be put on the counter. the sandwich breads tend to be put into the baggies.

I hope that helps.

Though King Arthur Flour & Lehman's Hardware also have these bread storage boxes that I'm looking at.

I stick it into a plastic shopping bag, the kind you get from the grocery store. I mostly just make sandwich-style bread, but every now and then I get creative and make baguettes, sourdough boules, etc. Those tend to get left out on the counter so the crust stays crisp. I would love to get a dedicated bread storage container, but haven't yet really been able to justify the cost or the counter space.

We make 2 loaves at a time. We freeze one loaf (in a ziplock) and store the other on the counter in a ziplock. We bought a fancy bag, but I prefer a ziplock.

We do the Artisan Bread in 5 Minutes a Day, and leave the bread in a bread box, unwrapped, or sometimes on the counter, cut side down on a paper towel. It usually doesn't last more than 3 days, because we eat it! But it would get stale at that point, anyway. ETA: Our bread box is the metal one you can find at places like Target. Nothing special.

Now another possible thing to add to my wish list.

My 3 guys go through 3 loaves of my bread per week. I wrap it in plastic wrap.
