Default Just for fun: what items are on your wish list? What are you drooling over?

Just for fun...this is totally frivolous. Curious to see what things people are obsessing about buying--Strollers? Shoes? Purses/diaper bags? Car? House? And feel free to justify your list if it makes you feel less guilty!
1. What is the most recent impulse/non-essential item you splurged on?
2. What is on your list for your next birthday/Christmas/Hannukah/Valentine's/Mother's Day present?
3. What big purchase are you saving up to get someday?
4. If money were no object, what would you love to get?

My answers:
1. Zoku popsicle maker--it's so hot here, we have no AC, and I wanted to get something to make the kids some healthy popsicles (and dairy-free for DS)
2. Breville Smart Grill--I love my smart oven (I use it every day) and I think I would use this griddle/grill/panini maker almost as often
3. Honda Odyssey (Touring Elite with blind spot protection--drool!)
4. I would love to do one of those What Not to Wear type shopping sprees (but without the humiliation of having your closet exposed on national TV ). I almost never buy any clothes or shoes for myself and I would love to have someone tell me what things to buy/what looks good on me and have someone say "OK, you have to spend all this money on yourself" (otherwise I'd just use it to buy a bunch of Tea clothes for the kids!). I've never used one of those personal shoppers but I think it'd be fun if I had money to burn.

Fun thread! I like dreaming about spending money I don't have, LOL!

1. What is the most recent impulse/non-essential item you splurged on? An actual item? I honestly can't remember. Probably the most recent "splurge" was my $28 pedicure, because I never get manis/pedis.

2. What is on your list for your next birthday/Christmas/Mother's Day etc.? I am sooooo lusting over a zoom lens for my camera. Sadly, I don't think I will get it, as it costs about $1000.

3. What big purchase are you saving up to get someday? See #2 above. We are also saving up to do some remodeling on our home (currently being rented out) if/when we hopefully move back in.

4. If money were no object, what would you love to get? Right now, my answer would be an iPhone or an iPad. My sister recently got one, and I can see how useful/fun it would be, but I can't stomach the thought of the extra monthly fees.

2. What is on your list for your next birthday/Christmas/Mother's Day etc.? oh man. too many things. new camera (1k) and new lens (1.2k). Flat screen TV (we are the only people left on earth without one). 1. What is the most recent impulse/non-essential item you splurged on?
I want to say new Birks and clothes from LOFT outlet, but maybe those were essential... probably Groupons, Living Social deals, and another local deal we have here.

2. What is on your list for your next birthday/Christmas/Hannukah/Valentine's/Mother's Day present?
???prescription sunglasses or a weekend visit to someplace like GWL or heck, anywhere!

3. What big purchase are you saving up to get someday?
a bigger house in *just* the right spot with *just* the right spaces and at *just* the right price.

4. If money were no object, what would you love to get? that house mentioned above, but in the planned community where the ILs are moving next week. We would love to live close enough to walk to them.

1. Making reservations for camping next weekend, we were not going to go anywhere that first week of my vacation but I decided that I wanted to get out of dodge so to speak. Not all that expensive for a vacation, about $100 for the camping site for most of a week, $130 on amusement park passes, we will need 2 tanks of gas and most meals will be at camp so not much greater cost than what we would eat at home anyways, aside from the case of nice beer I bought

2. Been on both of our wish list for awhile but we take our time around here, a dslr.

3. Vacation land in the north cascades/methow valley. Build a little cabin or maybe a yurt.

4. Around the world travel for an extended time with the kids and a babysitter.

1. What is the most recent impulse/non-essential item you splurged on?
-New clothes and workout clothes.

2. What is on your list for your next
birthday/Christmas/Hannukah/Valentine's/Mother's Day present?
-A night/trip with just DH and myself. It doesn't have to be anything fancy.

3. What big purchase are you saving up to get someday?
-New Odyssey, luckily mine is still chugging along ok, but I can't help but lust over the new ones. They look so nice and 3 across in the 2nd row would be VERY nice.

4. If money were no object, what would you love to get?
-All new furniture for the main floor of our house (our bdrm furniture is fine). The kids have beaten up on our furniture so much, it needs to be replaced for the most part. I'm hoping that in a yr or two, DS3 will be out of his destructive phase and potty trained, so we can get an all new family room set and we also need a new dinette and some more bookshelves.
