Default Did the picture thread encourage anyone else?

So, this afternoon, I looked on my laptop for a presentable picture of me. Not many. My clothes, shape, expression, hair, complexion or posture were a mess in most of the pictures. While the thread was expanding from the 200's to the 400's, I went out and got my hair cut. Pretty drastically. Starting tomorrow, I'm going to put myself together a little bit more, and I'm going to put the camera in DH's hands.

Also, I saw that we have a billion pictures that need to be printed or made into photobooks. My kids don't have baby books, and I've never even PRINTED photos of DS1 or DS2. I need to get busy in many ways.

Yup. I wanted to post a picture of me and DD, but I looked through a bunch, and usually it's no make-up (I don't wear a lot, but I like a little under-eye concealer at least), hair up in a messy bun or pony-tail (to keep it out of her grasp), etc. I will now be presentable for my pictures with her.

Yes. It's pretty bad when you literally cannot find a photo of you from the last 8 years that you won't share. My hair's also a lot longer than in the photo I posted, and now I'm wondering...why? I've already been working on the weight I've gained, but this has just served to remind me that I really can't always put myself last, because in addition to deserving better, it shows.

Yeah. Thank goodness for the Disney Photo Pass---in every other picture, my hair is pulled back in a ponytail or bun.

Yep! But for a different reason. I realized my poor kids, when I am gone someday are going to wonder why they don't have hardly any pictures of their mama. I'm always behind the camera. I need to make more of an effort to get IN the pictures, for my family's sake. The only ones I have of me are professional family photos, maybe once a year. That's pathetic!

Well, it inspired me to take more pictures. Basically every pic we have is DS or DH and DS!

You know, now you have to post a pic of the new 'do!

Well, the new 'do is just a shorter bob. Not exciting, but SOOOOOO much fresher. My hair gets huge b/c it is curly underneath and straight on the top if I don't blow it dry, and recently, it's been such a mess I've let it air dry. Then, it is SO big that I have no choice but to pull it half back.

Not sure why I thought growing it out was a good thing. Shoulder length (or shorter) hair is nice too

I agree that it has been an eye opener for me

Even though I didn't post because I am at my parents and don't have any photos of me just tons of DCs I have to say after seeing how fantastic everyone looks I feel like a real frump! I need some major work in all depts to look as awesome as everyone who posted!

I realize that I have no more excuses there are so many mamas on here who have young kids and/or twins who look so beautiful and put together! Bravo...

Not sure where I going to start though...I have really let myself go!

Yes, as others have already mentioned, I really need to make sure there are more pics of me around, even if I don't like the way I look in them so much.

And like boolady, the fact that I am cringing at every photo of myself tells me that I'd better jump back on the WW wagon full-force (I've been kind of wavering lately) and also start prioritizing self-care types of things (like haircuts and doing at least the bare minimum each day as far as hair and makeup), which tend to get pushed aside when things get busy around here.

My not wanting to post a pic made me realize that maybe I need to chill out a little more in liking my anonymity. It also made me realize that I am not feeling so positive about how I'm looking these days. I think I also need to start prioritizing some self-care.
