Default How wide should I make the wrap?

I bought 6 yards of 100% cotton t-shirt jersey to make a wrap (moby style). But can't decided on how wide to make it.

A lot of the DIY sites say cut it in half and make two, which would be about 30 inches wide. However I know a lot of the brand name wraps are closer to the 1/3 mark at 20 odd inches.
