Yes, I did read the fine print and they only want fall and winter clothes. No problem, I have my share of winter things too and will save my summer outfits for the spring sale. I was thinking I would price it according to how much I would buy it, which is much higher than I would price it for a garage sale. I did not see a price minimum but either dollar of .50 increments. Is each item tagged for each event and then if I do another sale I would have to retag it for another sale?

Our local JBF sales are great. I don't usually sell much clothing at them though, but I have sold other old baby gear. We have a local kids consignment store that gives me 40% of a sale when an items sells and she does all the tagging. I have problems finding the time to do all that tagging involved for the JBF sales, but you can definately make a lot more at the JBF sales than other consignment stores or from a garage sale. My favorite part of selling is getting to shop there a day earlier.

I love JBF but it takes some work. I price nearly all of my items at half of retail. So if something costs $10 new, I price it at $5 (regardless of what I paid for it.) Then you get 60-70% of that. It's only worth it if you have I'd say 100-200 items (in fact, my sale limits consignors to 200.) Less than that and you won't make enough to make it worthwhile, but more than that is too much work (mine takes a $10 consignor fee too.) Also, for some reason people around here don't care about brands like Hanna or Boden and I have better luck selling like new Walmart/Target/JC Penney type clothes and they really have to be in perfect condition. Any spots, scuffs, etc. and I just donate it.

Thanks. I will go through my things and see how much I have for the upcoming season and see if it's worth it. Anything that has any stain on it has gone to goodwill and my Bodensee and Hanna I am selling on eBay.
