I remember buying a pen that can write with lots of different
colored inks at the Learning Express store. You can write with orange and then click the button to a different color ink. It's really fun! Well, my son found his sister's pen and he wants one too!! But I don't live near a Learning Express anymore! Where can I buy one of these pens? I don't even know what to call it. Thanks!!

ooh, i had a few these pens as a kid and loved them!!
i know Hello Kitty (Sanrio) stores tend to carry them, but i guess that would be more for a girl... amazon has some versions. theyr'e usually just called 10-color pens http://www.amazon.com/YAFA-Color-Pen...9808356&sr=8-2 looks like they have these at Fry's too (electronic store) http://www.frys.com/product/6326901 Last edited by ♥ms.pacman♥; 10-28-2011 at 09:29 AM. |

I actually bought two of them at Old Navy a few months ago in the much expanded novelty/kids toys/candy section by the checkout area. Not sure if they still have them, but I bought a purple one and a turqoise one. Each had lots of clickable colors.

Corie, if you can't find one, let me know and I can stop by the Learning Express in Crestview Hills for you.

The four color pens get some good reviews. Sounds like a great stocking stuffer idea or maybe the 12 pack, for a party favor.

its a japanese brand that means literally "no brand".
i was going to try to explain the no-branding reason but it came off sounding lame. wikipedia has it down nicely: No-brand brand Muji's no-brand strategy (generic brand) means that little money is spent on advertisement or classical marketing, and Muji's success is attributed to word of mouth, a simple shopping experience and the anti-brand movement. Muji's no-brand strategy also means its products are attractive to customers who prefer unbranded products for purely aesthetic reasons. okay. well explained. their stuff also tends to be on the cheaper side, although definitely NOT dollar store cheap. i dont know of any stores they have besides the one in nyc (which i visited yay). i believe ny moma sells their stuff but muji also sells off their own english (they have a separare japanese site) website. www.muji.us http://www.muji.us/store/stationery/...point-pen.html sounds like frys might be more convenient, though. oh, i do love frys stores. wish they decided to expand. there are geeks everywhere you know. |
