Default Need more options for skinny 9 year old boy pants

DS is in desperate need of pants and jeans! He's almost 9.5 and weighs around 55#. The 7s are too small now, but the 8s are huge. Boden is running larger this year and only one style of the jeans fits him. I found 1 pair at Gap. I need options that have adjustable waist, and they aren't as plentiful once the kids hit 8.

Thanks!

Lands End, JCPenny, Children's Place, Gap, Gymboree, Old Navy all carry slims. My DS just grew out of needing slims this season, but those are the places I have gotten him slims in the past. The Gymboree slim jeans were the nicest (in that they were the softest). The cheapest seem to be JCP and ON (price wise).

We have found size 8 slims with adjustable waists at ON, Crazy 8 and the Gap. The Gap jeans fit ds well even when he was 57 pounds and 4 1/2 feet tall. Also, LE climber pants have an elastic waist with an adjustable belt.

For durability to price, Gap jeans purchased on sale have been the best for us.

How about Target's Shaun White's skinny jeans? It might be too tight, but maybe an option. DS wore Authentics brand from Target before but I could not find it today.

I have a skinny 7 year old. We do straight cut slims - not boot cut or carpenters style. Children's Place, Old Navy, Gap work well. Or we do skinny jeans. Super Skinnies are another option as well. Some places only have the slims online or very little in the store. I normally order a few sizes styles, return what doesn't fit and then buy more of what did fit.

Lands End slims - some worked for DS, some were too small - sizing was inconsistent between different styles of shorts and pants.

I have a skinny almost-10 year old (58 lbs) and he can usually wear 8 slim from Gap, depending on the style. I've also found some H&M pants & jeans to work well for him. They don't have slim sizing, but a number of their styles are skinny.

Have you tried 7X Slim?

I recently discovered H&M, and their pants work well on my rail-thin DS. I don't like their jeans styles, but I have bought khaki and gray casual pants as well as cords that work well for him.

Chaps run long and narrow, too. DS wears a 7 Slim in everything else but a 6 in Chaps (I've never seen Slim--the regular ones are pretty slim). He can still fit into size 4 shorts, where length doesn't matter. I get the Chaps at Kohl's, only on sale, usually with an additional coupon.
