Potty Training Funny
DS is not quite 2.5 yo and we've been in the beginning stages of PT for a while (I haven't been able to commit with a newborn in the house). DS is showing signs of readiness, but not fully there. We try to get him to go before bed and first thing in the AM. We ask other times of the day, but he's just not quite there yet....or so we thought.
Anyway, last week DS had a dirty diaper. I took it off and cleaned him up. He needed a bath that day an since I was about to get in the shower, I decided to have DS hop in with me. I took him off the changing table and he was naked because we were about to get in the shower. I ran into the garage to toss the dirty diper (all poopy dipes in the garage in this house). When I got back, DS had gotten on the potty chair and went all by himself. Earlier that morning (about 4 am) he came running into our room and cried (he was crying) that he had to go potty...and we actually made it.
I was SO proud of him. I was also thinking that maybe it is time to start getting serious about PT. I asked DS, "Do you want to start wearing big boy underwear like Daddy & Grandpa & T & A (sitter's older boys)?" DS said, "No, I don't." I asked why and DS said, "I like being naked!"
I haven't laughed that hard in quite a while!
