Default Gift Ideas for a 7-year-old boy

I've "adopted" a kid for DD's school's Christmas angels program, and got his wish list last week. He's seven years old, and his list is a bike, a game and a DVD.

Clearly, I can't buy the child a bike (even if I could find one within my budget, seems like it would be administratively difficult for the school to handle). So game and DVD, ok. But what to buy? My older kids are girls, so I have no idea what a boy that age would like. I'd appreciate any ideas.

I was thinking maybe Operation and a Scooby Doo DVD, since most of the 6-year-olds I know are very into Scooby Doo these days.

Legos, Stomp Rockets, books and board games are all big hits with my 6yo. Also, does he need clothes?

I think the Scooby Doo DVD is a great idea. My kids also love Sorry Sliders for a game. It is a huge hit around here.

I think Scooby Doo is a good choice. My 7 yo also really likes Looney Toons.

I'd skip Operation, as my kid thinks it's way too hard. He likes Monopoly, Sorry (is getting Sorry Sliders for Christmas), Scrambled States of America, Blokus 3D.

If you want to go "offscript", Snap Circuits are huge with my 7 y.o. DD and any of her boy friends that visit.

Thank you all! I hadn't thought of Operation being too hard (was considering it also for my own DD's 6th birthday). I will check out the Sliders.

To the poster who asked, he does need clothes, but that part was easy (as long as my Crazy 8 order shows up on time). I just got him jeans and a cute robot T-shirt in the size they gave me.
