When to give teachers gifts

Since I am going to make a big platter of cookies and such for DD1s aides and office people that help her throughout the day instead of getting gifts for all 12 teachers combined. How early before break can I do it? The last day of school is Thursday Dec 22. I probably won't give the individual teacher gifts til that day (or maybe the day before). Do I have to wait til then or that week to give it to them? I kind of want to get my baking started and don't want to be doing it right before Christmas. Can I do it the week before? I want to start baking now since I think I am making 5 different things, at least.

We are doing cards and gifts a week before they break. I always feel badly for the teachers when they have to carry out tons of gifts on the last day of school before break.
