Just thought I'd update. We are starting ds on the long acting form of Adderall this weekend. I am worried about appetite suppression and sleep since ds is skinny and a terrible sleeper to start with. And just generally worried.
We are waiting on the psychiatrist to give us a written report to submit to the district with a request for an evaluation to determine eligibility for special education services. I anticipate a nasty and uphill battle with the school, given how they have treated other special ed parents and given their previous insistence that ds isn't far enough behind to merit extra help of any kind. I am really dreading this. Good wishes and advice gratefully accepted. Catherine |

Good luck!
We have had success with the weighted blanket to help sleep issues. There was a recent thread about them.

Good luck!
Talk to your doctor about melatonin. There is a 1 mg version by Natrol that comes in pill and liquid form. It has been a godsend for my DS. Huge difference in falling asleep in just days.
