Default Why Didn't You Guys Warn Me...

About Polly Pockets? Oh dear Lord, they need to sell those things with a 5th of scotch for the parents. Those little rubbery dresses, the skinny little noodle arms and those itsy bitsy teensie tiny shoes...AGGGGGGH!

Thanks to the BBB I've avoided Moon Sand and Lucky Ducks. Where were the PSAs about Polly Pocket?!

Ohhhhh.... sorry about that. I know I have posted that I am not a fan. Calico Critters too - one set had a lipstick smaller than the width of a toothpick, I swear.

LOVE the scotch idea though - sales would be through the roof!!!

I consider myself warned! Thanks!

Sweet! Even though it's months off, I've been wondering what to get for Little Jonesette for her birthday... I'll have to pillage the Target Super Sale in January for all the Polly Pockets I can get!
Mwahahahahahahahahahahhahahahahahaaaaaaaaaaa!

I will add to the PP PSA - the most recent sets that my mother bought the girls (because *I* certainly haven't given them any!) had an added "bonus". They must have sprayed the clothes with silicone or something because our floor gets this super slippery spot after the girls have dumped them out and played with them. So even after the girls have cleaned them up, they're still a pain in the a$$.

You, my dear, are one devious lady!!!

I'll second the calico critters, I just bought a set for a niece and it's got some very, very tiny parts just waiting to be lost!

Ah, well if you haven't encountered Playmobile yet, it also has horrendously tiny pieces. I know they are beloved here but I can't stand them. So consider this a Playmobile warning.

DD LOVES Polly Pockets. Adores them. Loves them. Wants more of them. Uses her allowance to buy more. Yes, they are annoying. They do get less annoying as DD gets older and can deal with their clothing all by herself!

OP, your post has me rolling on the floor! I rushed over to read your first sentence to DH, who stared at me blankly; "what are Polly Pockets?" he asked. Argh, guess who never had to deal with them in this house! DD had them ~ received as birthday gifts ~ and I couldn't stand them. Teeny tiny shoes are right! I was so happy when she outgrew them.

I wouldn't have minded so much if that fifth of scotch were included . . .
